What happens is Jonahs is in a battle field and a boy next to him wanted water , then he got shot in the arm and the boy next to him dies. All that so the giver would have less pain. My reaction is that maybe this is why they have sameness and maybe the giver didnt just give it to Jonahs to relieve some of the pain, but to cure his curiosity about why there is sameness and to answer all his questions, or at least most of them about sameness.
The Giver was in Pain and Jonas Was like, "let me help you...give me some of your pain." So the giver did. the memorie was war and jonas could hear gun fire and man gasping for water, men asking for death! Jonas could see from his own torn sleeve something thaat looked like ragged flesh and a splintery bone. That i just found nasty and a little diturding. when we were reading it it felt like i was going to vomit. i wouldnt want to be there.
at first i would be a little nervous becouse i dont want some mans hand on my back. that i barely even know. but then i would be anxous becouse i have never known what snow looks or feels like. so i would get to for the first time in my entire life. and at the end of chapter 12 it would be facinating to get the first image of a rainbow with all the colors if he knew thier name and could actully see them.then it would also be scary to get the image of pain and know what it feels like and im not just talking about a little scar from your bike i mean a broken leg or something. it would be awsome and scary at the same time.he also got the feeling of hunger wich must really bite becouse you have this painful feeling in your stomach. but something could of he felt ashamed. that he gave away a memory to someone who may not have supposed to have it so he felt bad or ashamed maybe even shocked that he gave a memory to gaberiel.
jonas transmits a memory to gabreil he while soothing him. the next day he desides not to tell the giver what happened. thats because he feels like he'll get in trouble from the giver.so when he goes to the annex room the giver looks like he's in pain.then jonas recieves a new memory.it was during some type of war.
The Giver obviously has days where he is in severe pain. Normally, he just sends Jonas away, so he suffers alone. But he couldnt take the pain anymore and gave it to Jonas. He gave him the feeling of death, and warfare. They were both very aweful. The Giver knew he shouldnt have given Jonas that memory, but he couldnt stand it. I think The Giver did the right thing, giving Jonas that memory. He shouldnt have to hold on to it forever. I think Jonas was ready for pain, just not that much pain.
Jonas tries out the giving memory on Gabriel and it worked . Then when he goes to see the reciver he is in pain with all the memories . He gives one to Jonas but it seems Jonas can see a scene from world war 2 . He sees all this stuff all around blood, cannons, and people crying for help he finds one man that has been shot he is begging for water when he has water he passed away . Jonas sees this scene and he feels it all like he was there . It was like a movie
well jonas sees the giver upset and wants to take away the pain. the giver transmits the memory and jonas sees war and a boy dies. then the giver is so sorry he made jonas go thru that. i think jonas is a good person for helping.
in the chapter jonas was given the memory of war and blood and sufering and death. If I was jonas i'd be heart broken and upset. This memory is one of the most horrible yet. For a twilive year old he was handling it pretty well. He probaly was in the civer war. The cheif elder was right he was very brve
johnas is trying to help the giver and then he hears a voice in a corner that says water.then he turned and looked at the boy and it was a boy not much older than him. he had a bunch of dirt on his face andstreaking blonde hair. and blood was on his cloths across his chest and sleeve. then johnas gave him some water. it remined me of a movie where this kid was trapped in a house and being torcherd then the kid killed him self so he didnt have to go through the pain any more
Jonas first walks into the annex room and said that it was another "day". Then the Giver says "Please take some of the pain!" Then Jonas laid on the bed and the Giver put his hands on Jonas... Jonas was in a place that stunk and cannons were fireing, and bloody men were all around, gasping for water. Jonas was looking around and saw the closest man to him. The man said "please...give me water" Jonas looked around and found a metal canteen. He Reached for it and felt a sudden jolt of pain. His arm was bloody and torn. He gave the man some water and then the man died. Jonas sat around and heard the scream of men. Then he awoke, the Giver was appologising about what he had done. I feel taht this chapter was exciting and exhilirating.
what happened was that Jonas is in the middle of a battle field and there is a boy next to him all bloody and shot in the arm. The boy ask for water. So Jonas gave him water but after he did the boy died. Which I think I so sad. My reaction to what is happening is that I'm sad for Jonas to be in so much pain. I wish the community wasn't so selfish and then everyone has pain. Almost all of them never felt pain. Also I am sorry for the giver he as so much more pain. I wish this community didn't to this to the giver and Jonas.
The giver gives jonas the memory of the war there he could hear a boy saying give me water he could also see horses die and people too. He could also hear gun shoot more people asking for water and the part of he's bone sticking out of he's arm. I think this memory was a really painful one and prably it is really painful for the giver and Jonas too.
The giver gives the memory of war. There he could see people and horses die. he could hear a boy next to him ask for water and other people too. the bone of he's arm was broken and the bone was sticking out of he's arm. I think this memory was the most painful and saddest one of all. This memory might have been the most painful for the giver and know for Jonas.
What happens in the chapter,is that Jonas is put in the memory of warfare. He is all beaten up with scrapes, and broken bones. But Jonas sees a boy laying in the field and is very parched.Jonas finds water, and gives it to the boy,but then he dies.If I was Jonas' spot,i would have been terrified.I think that this chapter was very detailed, because it was talking about flesh and visible bones, ithink this chapter is gross but important.
What happened in this chapter was truely amazing in a way because he as in Jonas had never thought to experirence something that painful. The memory was of warfare. i can't say that is painful or scary because I have never been in a situaton like that. It seemed painful and I would hate to be in a situation like that.
What happens in chapter 15 is all pain for Jonas. The memory of the battle field and the little boy begging for water. My reactions are that it is good of Jonas to give the giver relief but sooner or later Jonas is going to wish that he never had these memories and that he is going to be feeling stressed out.
wen the giver was in pain e gave some of it to jonas. the memory that he ave him was about war. tere was a whole bunch of different people laying around on the battle feild also including horses. He also saw some people asking for death. to me that is kind of freaky, because of how they wanted to die i could see that baecause of how much pain that they are in but for me i want to live as long as possible.
What happens in this chapter is Jonasa gets the memory of war. It is a bad memory because there was a lot of hurt. Jonas now doesn't play the game of bad guys vs. good guys because he now knows that its war and not just a playful game.
What happens in this chapter is jonas gets the memory of pain, and he is on this battle field and some boy that is out there keeps asking jonas for water, so he gets his water and tryes to give it to him but the boy dies and jonas got hit or somthing in his arm. My reaction would be kind of scared and probably would have died of shock myself.

He went through all that so Jonas had less pain. And i think this is why they have sameness and i think the giver just wanted to answer some of the questoins about sameness and to not wonder about why other people cant see the color that Jonas can
The giver is in great pain so he asks Jonas to take some of it away.Jonas say he will take some of the pain away.He is in a battle field with a bunch of dead bodies and horses.Next to him is a boy saying water. As Jonas is reaching for water he notices he can see his splintery bone and flesh. He then gets some water in a canister and pours it into the boys mouth but by the time he does that the boy has already died.My reaction Is that it must of bein a really painful memory. .
