I think I agree because whats the point of choice ever existing if you cant use it , I know I would like to wear my own clothes instead of the borring clothes thety wear, and I would like to have a favorite color instead of no color at all.
We need choices without them there is not fun in life. Even thought you made the wrong choice you can get out of it. The real world is not perfect as in the give. People mess up and then there try again. You learn from the mistakes. In the giver everything it perfect. they made a mistake they get hit on the hand when they are little and if they make more and more mistakes they "go away". that's not fair. Maybe someone makes so many mistakes on accident and they have to go away. Is that fair to them? Where do they go? Do they die? Do they get put down like a dog? Do they got to elsewhere? all I came up with all this questions is aren't being fair in this book they are being mean.
I think that Jonas is absolutly right and that if everything was the same then there would be no choices and then... everything would be the same! The only way you could make a choice is by accident like what way you would want to take to your assingment or choosing to ride with someone to or from your assingment.
I feel like if there were no choices it would be boring . Because you would know what the day is going to be like. At least you dont know what would happen in real life. It would not be fun doing the same thing every day.
I wouldn't like most of what Jonas is living.I think this because i hate not having to make most of my own choices,because im so use to it now.But I think that Jonas' community should be able to make a l,ot more choices, like what to eat for dinner, what to wear or being able to choose your own job.I think Jonas is right, because he should be able to make his own choices on what he wants,he should be able to have some choices made on his own.Because then he doesnt have any freedom to himself.
i agree why jonus does not like the idis of not having choices. because i would love to choose what i eat,or wat i wear,or other neccosary things. but i also understand why we dont need choices it would make life easier because you dont have to stess over what to eat,or what to wear.so it could be bad and it could be good. one concern i have would be dont they have a choice on weather they dont have choices. and dont they have a choice on who gets what assignment
Jonas finally realizes the truth. Everybody should have there own choices, rather its a toy or a job. I think peolpes lives shouldnt be chosen for them. I would not like that life at all. In Jonas's community, everybody has no choices, and he thinks they should!!! So he should say something now that he is the Reciever of memory.
i feel that jonas was acting brave.i also feel that he was standing up for what he believes in. if there aren't any choices then it would just keep getting borring.also if there weren't any choice i would be agitated. thats how i feel about what jonas feels

i think that there should be choices because it would give them freedom. But that would be kind of unsafe because they might choose to kill them self. That would be hard because they dont know how. Only the receiver would know because of the war memorie. Some choices are bad but some are good.

I feel that that is not fair because you should get to pick your own choice. And people should not choose it for you. Also that would make me mad because if someone picks something for you and you do not like it, to me, what is the point of taking the option that someone else gave you. That is telling me that life would not be fair if you could not choose your option on your own just because you live in a community that everyone is the same. So to me, you should have to choose your own option.

I feel that if there was no chocies then there would be some goodness and badness. The goodness would be that everything is done for you and you wouldn't have to choose and make a bad choice. Otherwise if there were choices there people could make a choice if they wanted to wear something different everyday or eat something different. Even if they could make choices there would be tough ones at times like choosing to wear a jacket. It could be warm at first and then it could start raining out of no where. It would get old not being able to pick what you want to do that day.
I don't think it's right for everything to be the same. Because then you wouldn't get to choose anything. It would be really boring to have other people do the same things as you and have the same stuff as you. Like the same hair,eyes,clothes,face, and color. If know one was unique then it would be a very dull world.
I think that if we coulden't make are own choices then we coulden't learn from are mistakes.If there was someone making our choices for us we woulden be able to make the rong choice. Our life would be perfict, but nothings perfict so we should be able to choice and have the chance of a mistake.In the story it makes it interesting when everything choisen for them.Sence were in the reale world we have to learn to just make the rihgt choice even if its acualy the rong choice we just have to laern.Then we can just keep learning the right from the rong.
I agree with Jonas about having choices instead of not having choices because some people want choices that they get to make by themselves instead of having someone else having to make choices for them. And some people want to have the freedom of their own instead of somebody else telling them what choices to make for themselves. And also to have liberty of their own to do whatever they want when they want without having somebody else making choices for that person. I also agree with Jonas too that we need to make choices for ourselfves instead of somebody else making choices for you because then it would be boring having to the same thing every day and not having other choices to do every day. And finally to have choices of their own without anyone interferring with your choices.
I think it isn't right to not have any choices. If you dont have any coices than your life is just dull and not fun. Even at schweool we have choices, what kind of food do you want for lunch, red or blue pen.
if there are no choices then it would be crazy because without any choices then you would have nothing,because without choice i would feel like my life means nothing and i can't choose for myself. I like to make choices so if i dont get to have choices and without then then life would be the same alway everyday of everymonth but that is why i like choices,because i get to choose. i also like to have the right to do what i want when i have time to do what i want, but when that is take'n from me i feel like there is no liberty in my like like evryething is done and chose'n for me, and i just don'y like that. maybe and just maybe life would be easy if every thing is chose'n for you, because then when you have to do it again and again it will become a thing that you remember, and also life would be dull and have no fun but hey who knows,nobody dose till you try. Me persinally i like life how it is now and i hope it never changes, and i have no choices because that would really stink.
