The experiences I have had are that of a normal kid where it is alright to make mistakes if you learn from them but in the book you dont make mistakes at all or something bad or embarasing happens so that you dont do it again and in real life you dont get a job until you are at least sixteen and you are not a legal adult until you are eighteen and in the book you get a job and turn into an adult when you turn twelve.

The experiences I have had are simalar to kids but wouldnt be normal to the kids in the Giver. We are not allowed to have a job until the age requirement which is 16. And you are not an legal adult until you are the age of 18. In the giver you are an adult when you turn the age of 12. And have a job when you turn the age of 9.

The experience are that it is alright to make mistakes because then you will learn from them. If I lived in that community i would not like it because there is to much rules. And plus you cant make any mistakes because if you do you will get released from the community. Which means you will get kicked out of the community. And another thing that i woundnt like of that community is that childern have to start to work at age 9. In this community you have to 16 or older in order to work.

If you make a mistake in the book you will get punished by giving a speach of that you are sorry. If you make a mistake in the real world you'll just know what to do next time if it happens again.

The expiriences I have had I have honestly made mistakes in. My mistakes haven't made me hurt myself or others hurt me. During my expirences, if I messed up, I just tried again.

The way they lived is way dirrent from my. the telling the dreams was weid I don't tell my dreams and I never went to a heath center so that commtiy needs some tast of real life.:>

In my experiences I have made mistakes like getting in troboule at school but I have learned to do better and if you break a rule in the book then you as a child may get released from the community in real life you may get yelled at, grounded or even a little more but you wouldn't get kicked out of the "community".

Well in the book, you always have to share your feelings at dinner every night,my family usually away from the dinner table. And when you turn 12 in the book you recieve a job you have to do for the rest of your life, but in real life, you have to be at least 15 to get a job.But mostly in the book's community when you become a certain age,you are given certain things that show you are maturing or something like that, but in real life you usually arent given things when you are a certain age.In the book it also says that if you are late to class,or something similar to that, you always have to apologize, in real life you dont do anything but get a tardy slip.

When I was little and I made mistakes my mom told me that I can learn from my mistakes so it was okay when I made one and I leared from it. But in this community its not okay to make mistakes if you make mistakes here you get in trouble, realeased or embarrassed because you are different.

I think the expierience that I had is that I don't have be like everybody else. Just learn and know what you did wrong so you can learn from your mistakes. And like in the book, if you do something bad, then you are going to get a different punishment then in our lives. See because in the book, you might have to apologize to your whole community. Or you can be released from the community. Wich is not good.

In the book you can't do grammar mistakes or how you pronounce a word. If I was in that community it would be hard for me because of how I talk. For example a can't say enemy I say "ememy" I can't get the n in there. I not talk because of that issue. This can involve other people because of it. Another is that everyone is so not different. In real life you need to be different and be yourself. No one can always fit in. Finally they get jobs when they are 12. In real life you don't get jobs for doctors or there so called training for it. Well yes there is paper routes but in the real world they let us chose when we want jobs. I wonder why they control the community like that for not being different or "assignment".

in the real world we make mistakes and usually dont get punished if you are little, but in the book you have to be perfect.and here you are grown at 18 and there you are grown at 12.

The experiences that I had are kind of deffrent from the kids in the community. I learned to ride a bike when I was like seven and I din't have a commfort object like the kids in the book. And I could lie. And I have a defferent birth-day then everyone else.

The experences I have in my life are just regular and normal like anyother kid my age,we all make mistakes but we also learn from them. But in this comunity you cant make mistakes because its not good to make them and that makes you a failer.

Well, Asher had a lisp and I used to have a lisp too. He got hit, but I did not get hit. Jonas was said he has never heard or seen snow, a sled, or the term "downhill", but I have heard and seen all of of those!

The experiences i have had as a kid are that when i mispronounced a word the teachers would correct me but in the book the kids got into trouble and got smacked. A kid would get there bike at any age and in the giver they got it at age 9. A kid would get there hair cut when their are was to long but in the book the giver they got there hair cut at a certain age. In the book the giver they got a confort animal and in my experience a kid would get a stuffed animal when they wanted to.

In my experiences it's good to mak mistakesso you learn and make a better choice next time. Also you can ride a bike at any age but in the book you can't.

Being a kid in this book would be different because of all the rules that you have to follow.as a kid here we are all free do what we want.you can ride a tricycle at 1 there you have to ride a bike at 12.just a different place to live compared to here.

The experience that I've had as a kid is that if I made mistakes it would be alright for me to say mistakes but if they aren't supposed to make mistakes at all or something bad or embarrassing would happen.

The experiences i have are WAY diffrent from what the kids in the Giver. They are called adults at age 12 and we are called kids or pre-teens. They have a job at age 12 we usally get a job at age 16.

when we were a child you would have regular birthdays instead of assemblys, and you get a multiple of things that you actully want not things that are chosen for you.
